Hollyhill Spice It Up
This was a bonus tuber from Ted Kennedy in a trade and he promised it was a secret weapon at the dahlia shows. It proved him right, winning a tricolor at the Rhode Island Dahlia Society’s show this past year. The plant is 4.5-5’ tall and produces a lot of blooms with perfect form and a slight dusky tinge before the blooms fully mature. I generally am not big on yellow blooms, but this one is beautiful, easy to grow and shows well.
