Bloomquist Jean is a medium sized orange informal decorative dahlia that produces stunning large blooms with wavy curved back petals that look like a red head. It always makes me think of Lucille Ball! BQ Jean makes a great cut flower and does very well at the shows - a worthwhile addition to your dahlia garden! 6”-8” bloom on 5 1/2’ plants.
Bloomquist Jean was introduced in 2018 by Paul Bloomquist of Lynden, Washington. It won the Stanley Johnson Medal in 2021.
